He quickly recruited mates Crispy, Rollyz, and Clark, and the four-piece started firing out their unique brand of garage rock: fast-paced guitar-driven anthems with razor-sharp lyrics tackling everything from relatable tales of small town parents and racing to the pub after work, to hard-hitting takes on issues like decolonisation, drug testing, and megachurch pastors.\nDARTZ’s second album “Dangerous Day To Be A Cold One” was released via legendary Aotearoa label Flying Nun on 1 March 2024, debuting at #1 on the NZ album charts.
